Paul Forgey has served as Director of Planning, Development Services and Code Enforcement for the City of Albany and Dougherty County since the fall of 2012. His prior experience includes nearly 17 years as Planning Director and Historic Preservation Planner for the Southwest Georgia Regional Commission in Camilla and a year with Glynn County as Planning Manager. He has a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design where he studied architecture and historic preservation and a Master’s of Public Administration from Valdosta State University.

Forgey is a lifelong cyclist and rides both mountain and road bikes when he has time and the weather is nice-which it usually is in south Georgia.
